About us
Valley End Cricket Club was formed in 1895 and has been at the heart of the local community ever since.
The club has achieved some remarkable success over a number of years, winning numerous promotions across the 4 Saturday league teams, and even winning the National Village Cup in 2008 at Lords. The first team currently play in the first division of Surrey leagues, and we attract overseas talent to play and coach local children.
Our colts section continues to thrive with over 250 members and is the life blood of the club, providing a fun and safe environment for children to play cricket and mix with friends.
In 2011 we built a cricket cage at our Woodlands Lane site primarily for use for disability cricket with help from Sport England.
We have a committee of directors running the charity, bound by a constitution and we are fully committed to delivering against a clear plan which focuses on the objectives below:
1) VECC's vision is to become the pre-eminent cricket club for all ages in the in the South West Surrey and South East Berkshire area
2) We want to provide a community hub for young, disabled, and old alike to encourage participation and activity in the local area.
3) Adhere and promote governance around our obligations to the local community as a charity.
We need your help so we can continue to offer and even expand our service!
Thank you for your support and good luck!
Yours sincerely,
Mr Ray Ferris
